How to upgrade your NBE Software to 2.1
 



Step one

Save a copy of the config folder in a location other than the installation folder. The default installation can be found at:
C:\Program Files\Netborder\Express\Gateway\config you should save this file to your document for later use for installation.

 


Step Two


Uninstall NetBorder Express software by launching the Gateway uninstaller from the Start Menu:
Start > Programs > Netborder Express Gateway > Uninstall
Click Yes to remove the Sangoma device drivers when prompted.ep


Step 3

Uninstall the Sangoma device drivers:
For XP or Server 2003:
Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
For Vista or Server 2008:
Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features
? Select “wanpipe” driver, click on Change/Remove button.
? Select “sprotocol” driver, click on Change/Remove button.
? Select “sdladrv” driver, click on Change/Remove button.
? Select “busenum” driver, click on Change/Remove button.




 

 

Step 4

 Begin the NetBorder Express Software InstallationDouble-click on the
NetBorderExpressGatewaySetup2.1_winxx.exe file and follow the instructions.

 

If a warning appears informing you that the software you are installing has not passed Windows logo testing, please ignore the warning.

 

Step 5

The installation will Prompt you to restart your Computer click on yes to reboot

Step 6

When you Server Restarts The NBE service will start, but we want to stop the service so we can apply your config.file from the previously installation to the current updated version of NBE.

To stop service go to start, and right click on computer on the drop down choose manage.

 

 

Click on Service application there will be a Drop Down to service. Find Netborder Express and stop the service.

Next take your saved Confi.file from your previous installation and copy paste to c://program files/Netborder/Express/Gateway. Go back to computer management and restart the NBE Service.
